Overview
Category 4 was founded in 1998 by a team of four friends who wanted to pursue the potential of the emerging world wide web to the fullest extent. Over the course of our almost nine years in business we have continued to refine our design skills and embrace new technologies as they become available.
Meet the StaffOur development team is comprised of designers, programmers, and project managers. We work together to create highly integrated web sites that combine elegant designs with powerful yet easy to use custom applications. When appropriate, we leverage the wealth of existing commercial and open-source software to provide pre-built solutions at a low cost. After launching a site we offer ongoing support, upgrades, and maintenance to all of our clients.
Category 4 has won numerous awards for our site designs, including Best Web Site Design from the Central Virginia American Marketing Association two years in a row. Our contributions of free and discounted site work to Central Virginia non-profits earned us the Virginia Piedmont Technology Council Community Award in 2006.
