The Virginia Film Festival is hosted by the Media Studies Program at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. For twenty years the festival has presented comprehensive annual film programs, each year with a new central theme. Category 4, a longtime sponsor and web partner of the festival, previously created their online ticketing system and scheduling maintenance suite.
The 2007 Virginia Film Festival theme, Kin Flicks, explored the complex dynamics of family life through a variety of lenses. Category 4 created a sleek new website design to coordinate with the Kin Flicks theme and imagery. This year a Wordpress blog was integrated, giving the festival a new way to keep visitors informed while increasing public interaction with festival programming.
