The Thomas Jefferson Center for the Protection of Free Expression (TJC) is an organization devoted solely to the defense of free expression in all its forms. Located in Charlottesville, Virginia, the Center’s mission is broad. It is as concerned with the musician as with the mass media, with the painter as with the publisher, and as much with the sculptor as the editor. Since its founding in 1990, the Center has fulfilled its mission through a wide range of programs in education and the arts, and through resistance to forces that threaten free expression.
In April of 2006, Category 4 presented the TJC with a redesign of their Jefferson Muzzles page. Based on the feedback of this initial design the TJC saw the need to bring their site up-to-date, and treat it more like a resource rather than a brochure about the center. Category 4 completed a graphic redesign and integrated a Blog, Newsletter, and CMS to create a site that is rich in look and content.
